Building History
The Historic City Club Building was originally built for Citizens Savings and Trust in 1903. The Building is one of the few Tiffany Buildings left in the city. It was designed by the Cleveland architectural firm of Hubbell & Benes. J. H. Wade was the Citizen’s Savings and Trust chairman in the early 1900s and commissioned many projects with Hubbell & Benes. The building has long been home to jewelers and many prominent Cleveland businessmen including investment banker William George Dietz and insurance company and brokerage firm owner Harry J. Klossen.
