Human Resources Manager And Legal Assistant

Summary: Works with the president to develop and administer human resources policies, programs and services, including legal compliance, employee benefits, employee relations, employment practices and procedures, employee communications as well as employee events and assists department with recruitment by performing the following duties.

 

Responsibilities

Actively recruits for positions available in Ohio and Pennsylvania , screens resumes, interviews and conducts reference checks, runs background checks

  • Full cycle onboarding including orientation and training of new employees

  • Develops and maintains company personnel policies

  • Conducts coaching and counseling sessions as needed; using progressive discipline guidelines

  • Manages and administers employee benefits including medical, disability, 401(k), dental, vision and COBRA

  • Ensures OSHA compliance including tracking using the 300 log

  • Responsible for Worker’s Compensation program, tracking and documentation

  • Ensures corporate compliance with ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEOC requirements, immigration & other employment laws

  • Terminates employees and conducts exit interviews when applicable

  • Answers Unemployment Claims

  • Works closely with counsel to ensure legal compliance in employment matters

  • Creates and maintains current job descriptions for all employees

  • Analyzes compensation, processes Payroll semi-monthly,  tracks and edits Timecards daily

  • Approves Paid Time Off for employees and tracks on calendar

  • Handles insurance policy renewals for E.V. Bishoff Company

  • Maintains all company property insurance and liability information and provides certificates of insured upon request

  • Maintains Legal files and works with legal counsel to answer interrogatories and investigate company provided information on behalf of counsel

  • Works with employees and management to build a positive organizational culture

  • Fosters a workplace environment consistent with the values and vision of the company

  • Responsible for employee engagement

Legal Duties Include

Assisting with interrogatories and discovery requests for in-house legal matters

 

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience as a Human Resources professional

  • Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation, OSHA, COBRA and Unemployment Law in Ohio and Pennsylvania

  • Writing skills of a professional nature that will reach a diverse audience including employees, insurance companies, attorneys and tenants

  • Proficient in MicroSoft Office

 

Salary Range  $45,000-$50,000 annually

Business Development Manager

Summary: The Business Development Manager will research and prospect for large real estate related opportunities and needs that our Corporate neighbors have by using a combination of analysis, marketing and sales with the objective of growing the leasing side of the business and establishing new relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Become a subject matter expert on the programs that we have in place for Corporate America in all of our offices.

  • Become fluent and discuss the same representing any of our offices.

  • Research organizations and individuals to identify appropriate entry levels to sell into.

  • Contact potential clients via email, telephone, Video to establish communication and to understand a need that exists.

  • Actively learn of opportunities that that we can build a program around, or service, that our Corp Neighbors have.

  • Obtain appointment via Video or in person meeting with Local Account Executive to discuss need.

Required Skills:

  • Previous sales experience required

  • Strong skills in communication, analytical skills, relationship building

  • Proven track record of developing relationships from previous sales

Building Manager

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Completes all work in an efficient manner

  • Lifts and carries tools to perform work

HVAC Tech

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • 5+ years commercial HVAC experience

  • Type 1 and Type 2 Certifications

  • Strong trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to work unsupervised

  • Basic computer skills to operate electronic spreadsheets and work orders, email

  • Universal Certification is preferred

Senior Account Executive 

E.V. Bishoff Company is one of the Midwest's most innovative Owner-Operator commercial real estate companies.

Summary: The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for overseeing all leasing and renewal activity of the local leasing team and will perform the following duties:

 

  • Supervising leasing team in the city to insure that Leasing Plan is met in each building

  • Maintain occupancy of all leased spaces

  • Maintain all electronic marketing

  • Follow up with prospects and actively work to close deals

  • Manage the accounts of existing Clients

  • Previous commercial leasing experience required

  • Proven track record of leadership and achievements required

 

Salary range $70,000-$80,000 plus bonus potential

Account Executive

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Generate business from corporate neighbors

  • Follow up with prospects and actively work to close deals

  • Make outbound calls to the brokerage community

  • Pursue business with targeted industries

  • Continue to develop client relationships
